DENTAL VAN VISIT   Our last dental clinic was held July 30th, at Harrisburg Elementary School. This a free clinic but there is a $10 appointment fee and you need to fill out a health history form. The volunteer dentists do not do cleanings. But if you have pain, visible cavities, no insurance, no money to pay and not eligible for the Oregon Health Plan, please call Peggy at 541-995-7700  for more information.

SUMMER ACTIVITIES: Thank you to all who made this summer's camps and trips a success for the kids and families. We couldn't make it happen without our selfless volunteer teachers, who give at least a week of their summer to spend time teaching and sharing their talents with the kids. The Harrisburg School District makes our  family field trips possible by subsidizing our travel costs. And this summer the Harrisburg City Library co-sponsored our trip to the Oregon Coast Aquarium as part of their "Splash into Reading" summer program.  For a taste of what we do  Click here ...to take a look at this summer's activities.

To all the Harrisburg Businesses that have joined OUR Harrisburg Saving Card program. We absolutely could not have it without you. WE have extended our $ gift card drawing until the 15thof April. Be sure to use your cards until then and receive a raffle ticket each time you do.

COFFEE CUPPING:

A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY:
We just finished up our volunteer manager's training. About 30 people attended and the comments and feedback was very positive. This training was designed to assist and support those individuals responsible for recruiting and sustaining volunteers for their organizations and to promote volunteerism in the community. Our Harrisburg Savings Card is designed to encourage the residents of Harrisburg to buy, shop and support local businesses.
